Society of Petrophysicists and Well Log Analysts (SPWLA) 2024-2025 Regional Distinguished Speaker (Asia), December 2024. 　【賞の詳細】SPWLAは、石油・天然資源探査および地層評価分野における技術的進展を促進する世界的な専門学会である。Regional Distinguished Speaker は、特定の地域（本賞ではアジア）において、学術的・技術的に優れた講演を行う研究者に授与される称号である。【受賞内容】"Latest Developments in Portable Active Seismic Source (PASS) System for Monitoring CO₂ Storage"と題した講演に対する表彰である。辻氏が設計・開発してきた小型アクティブ震源装置 PASS が、CO₂貯留モニタリング技術として国際的に高い注目を集めていることがわかる。 【SPWLA website】

American Geophysical Union (AGU), Asahiko Taira International Scientific Ocean Drilling Research Prize, 2023　　【賞の詳細】米国地球物理学連合（American Geophysical Union）は、地球や宇宙の研究分野では世界最大の国際学会である。The Asahiko Taira International Scientific Ocean Drilling Research Prizeは、海洋科学掘削による分野横断的研究における優れた業績や貢献が認められた若手・中堅研究者を対象に贈られるものである。【受賞理由】海洋掘削の研究航海に複数回参加し、掘削データを用いて海底下の地震断層、流体挙動、海底熱水鉱床に関する研究を実施してきた。特に、2010年のカナダ沖ファン・デ・フーカプレートでの海洋掘削では共同チーフ研究者として国際研究を主導し、海洋性地殻内の流体挙動モニタリングに貢献した。さらに、南海トラフにおける津波断層掘削にも参画し、断層不安定性評価を行った。これらの成果が評価され、今回の受賞に至った。 【AGU website】 【Slow to Fast地震の記事】 【大学の記事】

西日本文化賞 2020年11月3日 / Western Japan Cultural Award, November 2020　【賞の詳細】地域文化の発展に尽力した九州ゆかりの個人や団体を西日本新聞社が顕彰する表彰。 【受賞理由】 熊本地震後の貢献（例えば温泉が枯渇した原因の解明）や、阿蘇山のモニタリング等に対する表彰。 【大学の記事】 【西日本新聞】

The 2019 IUGG Early Career Scientist Award 　【賞の詳細】IUGG（International Union of Geodesy and Geophysics）は，地球物理学分野において世界最大級の規模を有する。Early Career Scientist Awardは、顕著な地球惑星科学研究および国際研究協力に貢献した優れた若手研究者を顕彰するために創設された賞であり、4年に1度、世界から10名以下に授与される。【受賞内容】最先端の弾性波探査技術による南海トラフの構造解析に基づき、間隙水圧および応力状態を推定する岩石物理モデルを構築し、さらにデジタル岩石物理への応用を切り拓いた先導的研究成果に対する表彰。 【大学の記事】 【IUGG website】
